GPS A couple of weeks ago a friend told me that someone she knew had their car broken into while they were at a football match. Their car was parked on the grass which was adjacent to the football stadium and specially reserved for football fans. Things stolen from the car included a garage door remote control, some money and a GPS which had been prominently mounted on the dashboard. (GPS's store your HOME address for easy destination search) When the victims got home, they found that their house had been ransacked and just about everything worth anything had been stolen. The thieves had used the GPS to guide them to the house. They then used the garage remote control to open the garage door and gain entry to the house. The thieves knew the owners were at the football game, they knew what time the game was scheduled to finish and so they knew how much time they had to clean the house out. It would appear that they had brought a truck to empty the house of its contents. MOBILE PHONE This lady has now changed her habit of how she lists her names on her mobile phone after her handbag was stolen. Her handbag, which contained her mobile phone, credit card,wallet...etc... was stolen. 20 minutes later when she called her hubby, from a pay phone telling him what had happened, hubby says 'I received your text Asking about our Pin number and I've replied a little while ago.' When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the money was already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the stolen mobile phone to text 'hubby' in the contact list and got hold of the pin number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their bank account. MORAL OF THE LESSON: Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your contact list. Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby,Sweetheart, Dad, Mum, etc... And very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked through texts, CONFIRM by calling back. Also, when you're being text by friends or family to meet them somewhere, be sure to call back to confirm that the message came from them. If you don't reach them, be very careful about going places to meet 'family and friends' who text you. |

藥瓶中的乾燥劑
和信醫院藥劑科組長姜紹青答覆、黃筱珮採訪
問:網路上有一則消息說:根據美國國家藥典( USP )規定,藥品一旦開罐,罐內所附的棉花和乾燥劑,就必須立刻丟棄,否則它們會因吸附水氣,成為藥罐內的一項污染源!我從未聽聞這項「常識」,還以為乾燥劑可以繼續保持藥品乾燥,請問這個說法是正確的嗎?
答:是的,藥罐內的棉花和乾燥劑,在開罐後就必須立刻丟棄 ! 否則可能吸附水氣,讓水氣留在藥罐內,反而易使藥品潮濕變質,而國人對這個常識相當缺乏。
藥罐未開封前,放置棉花的用意有二,一是避免運送過程的碰撞,讓藥品粉化,二是阻止水氣進入;乾燥劑則是防止若有少量水氣進入藥罐時,可將其吸附。但藥罐一旦開封,這兩個「幫手」反而會變成吸附水氣的「兇手」, ! 最好把它們丟掉,別繼續放在藥罐裡。
藥品怕光照、潮濕、高溫,一旦開封後,最好能夠放在乾燥箱內,是最理想的保存方式。最忌諱放在浴室、廚房等地方,這些潮濕的場所容易使藥品壞得快。有些民眾 喜歡把藥品冰在冰箱內,不過,除非是強調需要冷藏的特殊藥品,一般藥品並不建議放冰箱;因一旦拿出來服用,忘了放回去,更容易潮濕。
還要提醒的是,藥品開封後最好盡速服用,不要長期存放。要注意的是,藥罐上標示的保存期限是「未開封」狀態下的期限,一旦開封後,保存期限就會 ! 縮短;因此,吃不完的藥別因為怕浪費而留下來,因為吃了變質藥品不但不會治病,還可能傷身。

黑糖薑茶
小時候,著了涼,一流鼻涕,母親就連忙用老薑加黑糖煮成薑湯給我喝。甜甜辣辣的,趁熱大口大口喝下去,再蓋著被子發一場汗,感冒便不藥而癒!我因生產多又密集,一年一個,有一年還生了一對雙包胎,把身體弄壞了。平常經常頭昏眼花,而每個月好朋友來了,頭痛、肚子痛,量又多一拖就是十天半個月。看了許多中西名醫,均束手無策。病看不好,花錢受罪,一氣之下,乾脆不理他了。
後來祖母教我在月經來時,不妨用黑糖和老薑煮水喝喝看,她特別強調多喝無害,黑糖能活血,薑是熱性的食物,在故鄉,婦女做月子都要吃些黑糖。
老奶奶的話姑且聽之,月經來時,就猛喝黑糖和老薑煮的薑茶,想不到,小腹慢慢不痛了。好朋友量也少了,當然頭痛也消失了,比吃藥還有效呢!
黑糖和老薑不但能治病,在寒冷的冬天喝上一碗,渾身冒汗、舒暢無比,這種偏方花錢少,又無副作用,何妨試試!

一起晚餐
你吃『晚餐』了嗎?
如果可以,我希望我能再吃一次『晚餐』。
我記得去年的時候,想要待在家裡吃飯,那或許只是我懶得出去而已。
我走下樓梯,走進廚房,看見老媽依舊站在那兒煮飯。
這麼多年來,都是如此..我坐在客廳那看著電視,等著老媽煮好飯。
老媽煮好以後,叫我去吃飯。
我添好飯坐在飯桌前,想叫老媽一起吃飯。老媽說:「你先吃就好,我等你爸回來
再吃。」
我依舊的回答說:「喔,那我先吃了。」
為什麼說依舊呢?
因為我偶而幾次待在家裡吃飯的時候,每當我問老媽,她都是這樣的回答我。
這麼多年了,從未變過。
而我......卻也一直不知道為什麼。
有一次,我問老媽:「為什麼你不先吃呀?」
老媽回答我說:「你老爸他每天在外面辛苦工作,回來又一個人在那吃飯,我會不
忍心啊。」
我這時候不知道說什麼了......
我那時候,好像是默默的把飯吃完吧。
過不久,有天晚上,老媽的舊病又復發了,晚上11點多的時候,她被送往急診室。
我也是隔天回到家裡才知道的,那天,我總覺得少了什麼。
我那天的晚餐就隨隨便便的吃了,然後往醫院探老媽,老媽就問我:「你晚餐吃了
沒有?」
我回答說:「我剛剛有吃了。」
說完以後,老媽似乎才露出安心的表情。
這時候,老爸把我叫到病房外,用著很嚴肅、很悲傷的語氣跟我說:「你媽的病,
大概是不會好了。」
那時候,是我第一次看到,老爸的眼睛紅紅的。
回到家裡,我發現,原來我還記得怎麼哭泣。
我忘了我哭了多久......過不久,老媽死了......
老媽在醫院的時候,最後跟我一句話:「以後晚餐要記得吃喔,別再隨便在外面吃
了,試試自己煮煮看。」
「不要讓你爸一個人孤獨的在那吃飯。」
說完以後,老媽死了......我又再一次哭了,眼淚......沾滿了病床上的床單,
似乎也沾滿了老爸跟一旁的醫護人員。
如果可以.....我多麼希望老媽可以再煮晚餐給我吃。
這篇故事,只是我感慨現在人的不懂事罷了。父母對我們的關心,絕對是真的!
以前的人常說:「考試一百分,不如孝順多一分。」或許你也曾聽過吧.但你做到
